Manager, Enterprise Communications (Marketing)



***This role can be located in McLean, VA, or be Remote***

Our Global Communications organization is responsible for protecting and elevating Hilton's reputation, driving brand and consumer communications, inspiring and engaging Team Members, and connecting owners and other partners with Hilton's purpose and business goals.

What will I be doing?
You will lead and support communications and public relations (PR) plans surrounding Hilton's multi-brand and enterprise initiatives, including Enterprise Innovation and Business-to-Business (B2B)/Meetings & Events (M&E) Communications. You will serve as a connector to our broader global Communications team as well as a support to key internal partners, including Innovation, Food & Beverage, Spa + Wellness, Digital, HR, Design, Commercial Services, Hilton Worldwide Sales/Event Planning, and B2B Marketing.

More specifically, you will:

  • Implement PR strategies aligned with Corporate Communications objectives to protect and enhance the enterprise and our portfolio of brands with best-in-class reputation management.
  • Collaborate closely with internal key partners to drive business results by securing the most impactful and targeted earned, owned, shared, and paid media coverage.
  • Handle media relations activities, from crafting well-written and impactful press releases and content to building media lists and pitches; collaborate with the editorial content and social media teams to finalize and distribute breakthrough storytelling.
  • Organize events, media familiarization trips, and other experiential PR tactics that drive Communications KSPs as well as team-specific goals.
  • Project manage multi-functional communications groups and complex, high-profile projects, maintaining project calendars and budgets and directing broader groups on priority action items and deadlines.
     

 

 

 

 

What are we looking for?
We believe the success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:

  • High attention to detail and advanced project management skills
  • Experience in developing PR strategy, pitching and managing interviews and events with senior company executives
  • Passion for writing and storytelling
  • An eye for news and being able to craft well-written, engaging content and stories to attract target-right media
  • Experience in a PR agency and Corporate or Consumer communications
  • Thrive in a dynamic, high-energy, and fast-paced environment across various subject areas; demonstrate positivity and patience while having an understanding of and appreciation for cultural differences
  • Problem-solving mentality, proposing creative solutions optimally while maintaining a high level of flexibility, professionalism, and integrity
  • Dedicated with entrepreneurial mentality and workstyle
  • Ability to prioritize as well as act with urgency and enthusiasm, when fast action is needed

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of experience working in Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism
  • Three (3) years in a PR agency
  • Two (2) years leading an internal team and/or agency partners
  • Travel expectation up to 10% or as needed

It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Seven (7) years of work experience in Communications, Journalism, or Public Relations
  • Experience working in the travel industry/association and/or meetings and event or industry association
  • Proficiency with Cision, Airtable, and building media lists
