Programmer II (Education)
This position is responsible for C# and .NET application development & programming for Decker's eCommerce division. This position will work on a team of like-skilled programmers responsible for building, support and maintenance of web applications used by the greater business. The team works in a SCRUM manner to deliver new features and enhancements to benefit various areas of the business. There is a high level of collaboration between the team members, the business users and the different regions to clearly identify, document and translate requirements into functionality. The position will follow coding standards to develop functional features while keeping technical debt to a minimum.
The ideal candidate will look to challenge a monolithic architecture and understand how to move to a micro-serviced modern framework. This will include breaking down existing libraries into smaller components and implementing to the cloud. Team members are expected to work closely with the DevOps team to aid in continuous delivery and be supportive of new techniques to aid in the overall CI/CD strategy as well with Cyber Security to ensure all development complies with security standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Build and maintain dynamic eCommerce components using C# and ASP.NET to meet assigned business objectives
Maintain and improve existing C# Windows Form applications and class libraries while maintaining current knowledge and ability to understand T-SQL for DAL applications and data retrieval to support assigned projects.
Performs appropriate tests and develops any necessary supporting documentation to team. Able to analyze problems and provide coherent solutions to both users and management.
Works with various company personnel to develop system requirements. Translates requirements into efficient corporate systems. Converts requirements into logical program designs, code modules and stable application systems
Review Code and Document code and troubleshoot production issues and work effectively with other team members to identify and address problems.
Assist in Environment set ups, release of code and participate with DevOps on implementing techniques to support CI/CD
Adheres to Deckers' policies and procedures for SOX 404 compliance.
Working inside AWS to move existing libraries to micro-serviced functions
Attending SCRUM ceremonies and other cross-functional requirements meetings
Participate in developer guild reviews to ensure consistency across all technicians
