Youth Care Worker - Emergency Shelter (Part Time - Weekend) (Personal Services)
LifeWorks of Austin, TX is looking to hire Youth Care Workers who are responsible for providing care and services to youth ranging in age from 16 to 20, living in a 24-hour licensed residential facility. Youth Care Workers supervise clients by overseeing their care and safety through the core values and mission of the organization and maintains the safety and compliance of the residential facility. Youth Care Worker services include ensuring safety, mentoring, supervising, transporting, overseeing participation in daily activities, and meeting basic needs of youth in a way that positively supports their development, self-sufficiency and goals. This position is at our EMERGENCY SHELTER.
LifeWorks Emergency Shelter team provides housing, case management and educational support for up to 20 teenagers (ages 14-17) and older foster youth in emergency need of a safe place to stay. Strength-based services are provided on-site 24/7. Youth stay weeks or months, depending on need, and are provided comprehensive case management services, with an emphasis on moving them towards stability. The Emergency Shelter works closely with other programs within LifeWorks and the community to provide youth the tools they need to reach self-sufficiency.

The effective rate of pay for Youth Care Worker positions is $20.00 per hour, plus additional night and weekend shift differentials if applicable.
