Mortgage Servicing Specialist (Project Management)
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
35% First mortgage servicing functions including but not limited to: answer member phone calls and provide a high level of member service, pay MI premiums monthly prior to the due date, pay escrowed homeowners insurance accurately and within the required time frames, accurate processing of payments and payoff checks, PMI termination report on a monthly basis, accurate payment of escrowed property tax bills within the required time frames, troubleshoot and resolve external and internal inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
30% Home Equity servicing functions including but not limited to: answer phone calls and provide a high level of member service, troubleshoot and resolve external and internal inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
25% Answer an average of at least 25% of the mortgage servicing calls per month.
5% Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks including typing, filing, Iron Mountain tracking and scanning.
5% Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or can be of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
