UX/Interactive Designer, Research Creative Services Team (Finance)
What we do:
We are a small design team within the Digital Publishing unit of the New York Fed's Research and Statistics Group. We handle the design and dissemination of economics thinking and policy work for the Bank through a variety of digital experiences, including our public-facing website, Liberty Street Economics blog, interactive web features, and mobile apps. Our role encompasses the many activities required to publish and promote the work of the Group's economists, including UX/UI design, data visualization, viewership and user experience analysis, and social media content creation.
We are looking for an experienced Interactive Designer who can design intuitive user experiences with complex information and data for a sophisticated readership. Reporting to the UX/Digital Strategy Manager, the Interactive Designer works collaboratively within a small group of visual designers, editors, web producers, and developers to envision the user experience of new products and enhancements to the website domain. The Interactive Designer is a conceptual story teller who can translate user needs, business goals, and technology capabilities into designs across multiple channels. The Interactive Designer is involved in all aspects of the process from context-based research to storyboarding to stakeholder presentations to final product launch.
