A Day in the Life
As an Animal Research Technician III - Animal Care Technician IV you will primarily be responsible for execution of veterinary technician tasks such as medication and treatment administration, anesthetic recovery, and routine health monitoring of patients (under the direction of the a veterinarian). This role will be focused on supporting the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and will be responsible for leading recovery tasks on a daily basis. You will work with surgical staff, study directors, veterinarians, and other groups to provide high quality care. You will also complete general husbandry duties such as feeding, watering, and cleaning using the appropriate standard operating procedures. This position requires professional judgement in determining work methods and may have full responsibility for tasks that are extremely complex in nature (surgical/anesthetic recovery of patients).
