Cardiac Rhythm and Heart Failure offers devices and therapies to treat abnormal heart rhythms, as well as cardiac diagnostic and monitoring solutions. This role will be supporting our Mechanical Circulatory Support Devices (MSC).
As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will lead the delivery of automation systems to optimize verification & firmware development activities. This role works with the engineering team to deliver verification services in accordance with the company defined quality system. Ensure that devices are tested in adherence to the applicable regulation (FDA/ISO13485) and best practices. This position is an important contact on a project with significant hands on work expectation. This position will also be expected to mentor less senior Associates and Interns.
Responsibilities include developing of automation systems to be used by design verification engineers for testing of medical devices. This position may act as an escalation contact for issues regarding project requirements, scope, schedule, progress, implementation planning and product support. Additional responsibilities include participating in project resource forecasting, project time accounting, project budget and project cost planning for provided Verification services. This position is responsible for ensuring all Verification project deliverables adhere to the appropriate FDA and EU regulatory requirements for medical devices (ISO13485, 60601-1, 60068 and 62304) and any Field Correction Orders issued are managed and resolved.
