Instructor Development and Outreach Manager (Education)
SUMMARY:
The Instructor Development and Outreach Manager is responsible for managing the overall training and development strategies for 370+ instructors in order to support the delivery of products and services. He/she will also lead the communication and outreach efforts to our instructor cadre while collaborating with the Resource Management team and other department leaders. This role will provide support in other areas of Resource Management to include: proposals, database management, HR management, system implementations, and administration.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
· Oversee train-the-trainer programs to certify facilitators on using advanced technology for virtual and remote classroom training sessions
· Facilitate virtual and remote experience dry runs and practice sessions via Adobe Connect
· Plan and execute the virtual/remote training program, including the logistics for events, facilitator scheduling, attendance monitoring, tracking of progress, and post training follow-up
· Guide the instructors through the entire process of training, practicing, and delivering successful sessions in order to become certified
· Work with Information Technology and Learning Technology teams to troubleshoot systems and classroom issues
· Forecast instructor needs to keep up with market demands and trends
· Monitor remote/virtual instructor performance by reviewing evaluations and analyzing session data
· Conduct classroom observations for new or poor performing instructors
· Provide coaching and guidance to increase instructor effectiveness and proficiency
· Provide input and suggestions for matching resources to assignments to maximize delivery quality, instructor development opportunities, and customer satisfaction
· Work with the Product Management Directors on their train-the-trainer events for new course launches
· Manage, draft, and develop the strategic communications and outreach plan for MC facilitators (quarterly newsletter, announcements, webinars, luncheons, symposiums, Resource Central)
· Be the main point of contact for Resource Central while growing collaboration and ensuring that instructors are familiar with all the functionality of the portal
· Oversee the deployment of instructor satisfaction surveys. Analyze results and strategize with appropriate stakeholders for ways in which we can improve
· Work with the Instructor Recruitment Manager to conduct new hire orientations and assist with facilitating the onboarding programs for new instructors
· Strategize across divisions to establish and document operational processes and norms to effectively and efficiently meet and achieve company's strategic goals
· Play an active role in representing, managing and supporting 370+ instructors
· Other Resource Management related duties as assigned
NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Proficiency with Adobe Connect
· Ability to objectively assess instructor skills and performance
· Ability to have difficult and/or challenging conversations
· Excellent mentoring and coaching skills
· Demonstrated organizational skills, ability to follow processes, and attention to detail
· Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills
· Computer and internet proficiency including MS Office Suite and database applications
· Ability to compile, analyze and leverage data to achieve goals
· Strong collaboration, networking, and relationship building skills
· Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and shifting priorities
· Familiarity with the principles of delivering competency-based, student-centered learning to adults
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· Bachelor's degree
· 3-5 years of relevant experience in the professional services field
· Proven success in building and maintaining relationships with independent contractors
· Previous experience working in training and development preferred
