Position Brand Description: The Automation/Infrastructure Engineer has a primary and secondary role in IDM engineering. The primary role is to own the development, deployment, and operation of the IT-related automation infrastructure of IDM engineering, including PI Data Historian, source code control systems, software license systems, cybersecurity, and others. The secondary role of this position is to be a member of engineering teams delivering device assembly lines to contract manufacturers and Lilly sites globally. In addition, when primary support teams for the global installed base (CMO and Lilly sites) require assistance, this role may provide assistance or leadership in returning lines to service or optimizing lines. This engineer will develop and implement best practices for designing assembly line automation systems to produce data that will help to optimize the lines, speed startup, and remain compliant with cGMPs dealing with data, and will create reports to optimize operations.
