Environmental Scientist III (Biotech)
Primary Function:
Under general supervision, plans and conducts work requiring independent evaluation, selection and adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. Performs as a fully qualified professional proficient in the use and application of scientific principles, theories, practices and company standards in their discipline. May devise new approaches to problems encountered. Some assignments involve application of computer software, including spreadsheets, CAD, GPS data collection, as well as computer modeling.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Normally requires a 4-year degree in biology, environmental science, geology or related science and typically 3-5 years' related experience, or a Masters degree and 2 years' experience. This includes considerable experience in conducting wetland delineations, seasonal high water level determinations, listed species surveys, state and federal wetland permitting as well as utilizing technical software and computers related to the discipline. Authorized Gopher Tortoise Agent, Professional Wetland Scientist, and/or Certified Professional Soil Scientist is preferred. May specialize in environmental science, air quality, GIS (Global Information Systems), geology, or hydrogeology.
