Ranked Faculty: Life Sciences (Education)
The term “Faculty” is limited to regular personnel at Palmer whose regular assignment includes instruction, research and/or public service as a principal activity and who hold academic rank as Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant professor or Instructor. Faculty play an important role in curriculum and policy development; faculty are planners who must constantly look to the long-term future of education and discovery. The faculty is expected to work closely with students, other faculty and administration of the College in promoting interests of the Palmer University System and it's strategic plan.
This instructor role is to teach Life Science coursework (lecture and lab) within the Doctor of Chiropractic program. Available courses may include, but are not limited to, Human Anatomy courses, with the potential for teaching in other life sciences areas. Faculty duties include preparation and presentation of individual lectures and labs, including dissection of cadaver specimens. Additionally, the faculty member is responsible for course syllabus management, and development, administration, and grading of both formative and summative assessments.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Qualified applicants must have a first professional degree in a chiropractic or other healthcare discipline or a graduate degree in an appropriate discipline or subfield of Life Sciences (Human Anatomy & Physiology) from an institution accredited by a nationally recognized agency, or its foreign equivalent. Applicants holding a graduate degree outside of an area of instruction must have a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the Life Sciences discipline or subfield of Human Anatomy & Physiology. Experience in higher education teaching, gross anatomy lab instruction and dissection, evidence of teaching excellence and familiarity with technology and LMS are preferred. Computer literacy with email and Microsoft Office products is required.
