Summary
The Transformation Operations Leader will lead the team of program managers aligned to enterprise-wide Tier 2 initiatives. This role is a thought leader on process, program and change strategies and continuous Improvement. This leader drives key program execution by promoting key mindset shifts to Agile, Lean and Design Thinking. This role is instrumental in improving Equinix business processes and programs through their utilization of problem solving and program management skills and prioritization of tier 2 initiatives to ensure lasting process, system and cultural change.
Responsibilities
Build and lead a cross-functional team focused enterprise-wide Tier 2 change initiatives and being a change catalyst. Ensure relentless team focus on driving process transformation and enabling continuous improvement across all projects
Partner with CTrO to define Tier 2 initiative priority per our strategic business objectives by proposing business prioritization buckets and evaluating requests based on ROI and hurdle rate
Through engagement in PMO projects aid in identifying new enterprise-wide processes, systems and policy improvements that could yield meaningful ROI
Understand, embrace and articulate the strategy and need for change, consistently challenge direction and assess impact against the need for change
Focus on people, process, and policy first before systems and tools. Find the balance between improving our current state versus investing in transformation
Drive and oversee execution holding project teams accountable for relevant delivery and make data driven decisions to make an impact on key business objectives
Lead global teams in defining our future, transformational processes
Develop problem solvers focused on improving current processes using data, problem solving and root cause analyses to impact key KPIs
Lead events to analyze current and future state processes, systems and policies to analyze and solve complex, cross-functional issues
Re-imagine our current GPO team to build a global, cross-functional council of process experts to drive and champion process transformation
Influence company-wide PMO mindset in how we analyze problems, improve processes, prioritize our portfolio, drive change management and lead projects
Drive effective and sustained policy, process and system changes for both internal and external stakeholders
Create a standard approach and lead efforts to develop the business mindset and methodology via training, coaching and mentoring
Knowledge & Experience
PIVOTAL KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
12-15 years' experience creating and driving strategic direction for global, cross-functional prioritization, programs and process transformation
Proven success with understanding complex business problems and driving understanding, consensus, and resolution
Experience leading a team of global, cross-functional sub-teams
Demonstrated success influencing executive level decision making, leading SteerCo reviews and facilitating problem solving workshops
Demonstrated success managing enterprise-wide projects
Experience with agile, design thinking, waterfall and lean
Proven success standardizing global processes while translating for local complexities and regulatory environments
Well-rounded understanding of Equinix's strategy, customers, employees and processes
Lean Six Sigma black belt certification or equivalent experience
