Overview
Emmis Marketing Group is looking for a Marketing & Event Director to oversee brand marketing, growth and marketing & event operations for our clients and our own premium media brands in the Indianapolis market.

You have four to six years of experience in marketing and/or media and are eager to step into a larger, impactful role on a growing team with our Indianapolis media group. You get things done. Overseeing day-to-day operations comes second nature to you and you know what it takes for those operations to be carried out at a high level. You have a knack for leading. You're also able to think critically and see things through a strategic lens. You have the ability to recognize patterns and use data to explain those patterns. Most of all, you're a team player. No job is too big or too small for you and you definitely have a keen eye for detail.

We are looking for someone who is humble, motivated by challenge, curious and preferably one you can laugh, admit their mistakes and pitch in to reach the goals of the group. Responsibilities
Serve as the primary marketing resource for an assigned group of client accounts with responsibility for retention, growth and day-to-day management of marketing requirements for the account.

At the same time, we support one another and encourage self-care. ResponsibilitiesOversee day-to-day marketing and event operations for Emmis Marketing Group and each of its media brands. From managing our various channels, maintaining the brand standards and all updates of each media entity in the Indianapolis group. Collaboratively work with the Digital team to ensure all marketing materials and websites are updated, support the marketing strategies and align with the operational pieces of this role with the Emmis Marketing Group event side. Responsible for the operational and event pieces that power a marketing department and making sure they work together flawlessly. Responsible for Marketing department budget; collaborating with Programming and Sales department to hit fiscal goals. Develop and execute growth strategies for Emmis Marketing Group's media brands and client products/services. With knowledge of each brand and their audiences, work with stakeholders across events, digital, traditional broadcast and more to develop growth initiatives in each of these areas. Own brand marketing for each brand. The Marketing & Event Director and their team will be the resident experts and champions for each of the media brands and ensure that all touch points fit those brands and their positioning. Lead a team of marketing coordinators. Will work closely with each member of the team and provide guidance on campaigns and initiatives. Report on performance and ultimately, find ways to optimize to key objectives and metrics. This role will be the brains of our test and learn operation and apply it to all of our channels while also reporting on key business metrics and making recommendations. Execute ongoing hiring, training and coaching of the Marketing & Events team, including executing or providing training programs and resources for new team members, continuing to develop and coach direct reports. Key Account Management Serve as the primary marketing resource for an assigned group of client accounts with responsibility for retention, growth and day-to-day management of marketing requirements for the account. Establish close client relationships and develop a comprehensive understanding of each client account. Devise an integrated marketing campaign and timeline; execute the necessary marketing mix through the events, client channels including working closely with our Digital team to include email marketing, social, digital and print. Initiate and maintain marketing plans, task tracking, creative directives, and edit client requests. Track and analyze statistics before, during and post-event; constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve our client's business, resulting in business growth for Emmis Marketing Group. Requirements4 - 6 years' experience in media or marketing, ideally a combination of the two BA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related field, a plus 3-5 years' project/account management experience 2-3 years' management experience A knack for working effectively across teams. Be able to work extremely well with other stakeholders to incorporate a variety of perspectives and deliver exceptional results Hardworking and ambitious. Be diligent with work and extremely motivated when it comes working with our team to reach goals. Experience overseeing email marketing programs strongly preferred. Fluency in email marketing is important. Comfortable in a fast-paced, occasionally ambiguous environment An ability to think strategically and critically. Ability to see the big picture but are also comfortable getting hands dirty. Meticulous attention to detail.
