JOB TITLE: Receiving Monitor
DEPARTMENT: Inbound
JOB SUMMARY
The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to performing activities required in the loading and off-loading of commercial trailers/containers, handling and inspection of delivered goods, materials and packages, internal delivery of packages and items as well as the systematic receipt of goods. May operate a non-CDL vehicle in support of the transport of goods and materials.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•Loads/unloads trailers/containers.
•Maintains and supports organization of the inbound dock area as well as storage racking.
•Performs activities required in a Kan-Ban replenishment process of facility shipping materials.
•Performs activities in support of the receipt and put-away of received finished goods. cartons, labels, literature and packaging materials.
•Performs materials handling activities to include but not limited to the delivery of various goods and materials to ensure inter-departmental request/needs are fulfilled as necessary.
•Receives and delivers incoming U.S. mail as well as packages from various shippers etc. destined for departments throughout the DC.
•Uses RF technology to process item movements and receipts of finished goods items.
•Operates multiple types of industrial equipment to meet the responsibilities listed above.
•Operates a non-CDL vehicle in support of the transport of goods and materials.
General Job Requirements:
1.Works scheduled holidays in order to maintain service levels for customers.
2.As business needs dictates, works extended hours to complete daily department goals or tasks to include mandatory Saturdays.
3.Works scheduled hours and is ready to work at scheduled start times, notifies Supervisor prior to absence or tardiness in accordance with company policy.
4.Immediately informs Coordinator/Supervisor/Manager of safety, sanitation, and equipment malfunctions and concerns regarding quality issues.
5.Exhibits good communication skills – verbal, written, and comprehension of the English language.
6.Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures and Regulatory requirements.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
•Ability to operate sit down forklift, reach and double-reach industrial lift, electric and standard pallet jack as well as RF hardware
•Sit down forklift/man-up/RF gun/reach and double-reach industrial lift, electric and standard pallet jack, electric dock plate
•Must hold a clean motor vehicle driver's license.
•Ability to perform basic mathematics accurately
WORK ENVIRONMENT
•Noisy Conditions > 85%
•Dusty Conditions > 85%
•Hot or humid conditions – Exposure to extreme seasonal temperature 50% - 75%
•Work near moving mechanical parts > 85%
•Conditions commensurate with the operation of a non-CDL vehicle 25-50-%
EXPERIENCE
•6 months' experience (or reasonable equivalent) in a receiving/dock environment
•Prior experience with RF technology
Prior licensing on industrial lifts and jacks
EDUCATION
•High school diploma or GED required.
