Digital Media Production Editor (Media)

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Digital Media Production Editor manages multimedia production; including audio and video recording, production, editing, animation, delivery, discoverability and monitoring. The position is responsible for multimedia strategies, and performs hands-on recording, production and editing.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Digital Media Strategy
•Provide leadership in identifying, sharing and implementing best practices for digital media development, performance and optimization
•Work with internal partners to establish processes that provide efficiency and ensure quality control
•Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the organization to determine audience needs, business objectives and success criteria for digital media
•Collaborate with stakeholders on digital strategy and technology implementation for event production planning

Audio / Video Development
•Manage the production of media content, including audio and video recording, production, editing, animation, delivery, discoverability and monitoring
•Perform hands-on recording, production, editing and animation
•Establish quality standards and ensure AAN brand compliance
•Complete design work, file management and platform management as needed

Digital Media Management
•Manage publication platforms to ensure presentation, discoverability and measurability of content
•Work closely with internal staff to ensure support of AAN objectives.
•Provide education and training as needed
•Manage vendors, freelance resources and coordination with onsite AAN partners as required
•Maintain digital media equipment inventory and provide budgeting assistance for ongoing support

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
•Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Digital Marketing, Media, or related field is required
•Equivalent combination of additional experience beyond the minimum requirement and/or education may be substituted for degree requirement

Experience:
•Minimum of 3 years of experience in a digital media content development is required
•Experience in video production, producing audio podcasts, and expertise in audio and video hardware and software purchase and setup is required

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
•Desired tool set includes storyboarding, scripting, video lighting, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Audition, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Media Encoder, Adobe Creative Cloud Applications, YouTube, AVID Pro Tools, Libsyn, microphones, digital video cameras, portable audio recording devices, and audio mixing consoles
•Expertise in audio and video signal flow and multi-format digital file management is required
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
•Strong customer services skills required
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required
•Strong attention to detail is required
•Ability to meet tight deadlines is required
•Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
•Ability to handle confidential information is required

ADDITIONAL POSITION INFORMATION:
FLSA Classification: Exempt
Travel Requirements: Occasional travel required – approximately 5%
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Schedule: Some evenings and weekends required
Physical Requirements: Standard office setting, with ability to sit for long periods of time, occasional use of stairs; regular use of computer and office equipment, lifting up to 10 lbs. Ability to stand for up to 2 consecutive hours.
