Field Service Engineer (Finance)
Responsibilities:
• Assess and respond to product or system critical situations in a timely, professional manner
• Diagnose complex technical problems, collect relevant diagnostic data, clearly communicate the issue to engineers and managers, and implement solutions
• Train personnel in the operation of Moog hardware/systems for field operation.
• Responsible for systems and components with hardware values ranging from $5K to $1.5M
• Ability and willingness to travel/deploy to CONUS and OCONUS locations with minimum notice for extended periods
• Perform field installations, maintenance, repairs, retrofits, and other service related activities at customer's facilities/field locations
• Inspect and verify completed field work to ensure operational and safety integrity of serviced equipment
• Assist in the definition and procurement of appropriate spares, tools, and equipment to support anticipated field servicing requirements of Moog products
• Inform Engineering and Management of potential performance, service life, misuse, and safety issues based on service history and field observations/customer feedback
Key Qualifications:
• Previous experience working as an FSE/FSR
• Prior deployment experience working and living in austere environments/locations as a military member or defense contractor (culturally savvy)
• US Military Training Certificate or equivalent Technical Trade School Diploma in at least one of the following areas- Aircraft Electrical, Avionics, Weapons or Sensor Systems, Remote Weapons Stations, UAS/UAV or Counter-UAS (c-UAS) Systems
• Participates effectively in issue tracking and field experience information sharing
• Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific products and processes
• Possesses strong human relations and communication skills necessary to interface with a wide range of technical and non-technical customers at all organization levels
• Refined interpretive, analytical, and diagnostic skills specific to systems involving electrical, mechanical, and computer interfaces.
• Skilled and/or knowledgeable in the use of various types of electronic and mechanical assembly, test, and measuring equipment/processes.
• Ability to quickly develop a sound working knowledge of a Moog products and applications with minimal engineering documentation and short production run quantities and schedule constraints
• Practical working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
