If you are a Quality Assurance & Control professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Racine, WI location, you will participate on cross-functional project teams assigned to projects regarding internal and supplier manufacturing process and introduction of new products and processes into manufacturing. You will be responsible for coordinating or completing project quality deliverables, such as, quality planning and verification through use of common quality tools. You will work closely with various functions at all levels to resolve quality issues and improve internal processes.
AS A QUALITY ENGINEER, YOU WILL:
Identify unfavorable quality trends and recommend improvements to help reduce Cost of Quality and improve yield.
Lead or participate on continuous improvement or corrective action teams as assigned.
Determine root cause of quality problems and implement effective corrective action.
Participate on cross-functional teams to qualify and approve new processes, capital equipment and materials.
Prepare detailed quality plans for small-scale projects to reduce risk of producing nonconformances.
Provide or coordinate required project quality related deliverables, such as, PPA's, D/PFMEA, capability studies, statistical analysis, inspection plans, quality records and workmanship standards.
Complete or assist with quality actions stemming from Design Reviews, DFMEA's and PFMEA's.
Provide training and mentoring to promote proper use and understanding of quality tools.
Recommend design, manufacturing or control changes to increase product performance, quality or reliability.
Participate on Material Review Board. Coordinate inspections or tests if necessary to determine disposition.
Work with suppliers on PPA's for new suppliers, new parts and new tools.
Work with suppliers on corrective actions for non-conforming parts.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, manufacturing or similar field
Three years of Engineer or Technician level experience in quality, manufacturing, supplier quality or reliability in a manufacturing environment
Proficient in technical skills, such as, statistical analysis, FMEA, SPC and other common quality tools
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Good communication skills, teamwork spirit, ability to tackle challenging projects and resolve problems.
Good time management skills, organized, and professional.
Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Quality Manager or Technician
Additional education in quality, mathematics or engineering
Experience with specialized software like MiniTab, ProLink, etc.
