Ethics Office Senior Advisor (Finance)



The Legal Compliance Senior Advisor plays a key role in supporting the Ethics Office operations by serving as a trusted advisor to business leaders, workforce members, and cross-functional partners. This role helps guide the business in achieving its goals while ensuring alignment with The Cigna Group's Code of Ethics, compliance policies and procedures, and applicable laws and regulations-proactively identifying and mitigating compliance risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic compliance advisor across business areas, fostering ethical decision-making and adherence to corporate standards
  • Manage and respond to conflict of interest disclosures and compliance policy inquiries
  • Assist in the triage and resolution of compliance concerns
  • Support client RFPs and supplier contract reviews related to Ethics provisions
  • Review, revise, and maintain compliance policies and procedures
  • Contribute to enterprise-wide Ethics communications and awareness initiatives
  • Lead and support special projects and other duties as assigned
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Legal, Enterprise Compliance & Risk, Human Resources, Employee Relations, Medical Officers, Government Affairs, Global Procurement, Corporate Communications, Community Services, Account Management, Internal Audit, and senior business leaders

Qualification/Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Graduate degree, or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of 10 + years of experience in the health insurance or healthcare services industry
  • At least 5+ years of direct experience in Compliance and Ethics.
  • Proven experience managing projects from initiation to completion
  • Strong ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships, influencing others to adhere to compliance standards and best practices
  • Skilled in evaluating complex or ambiguous requests and providing clear, tailored compliance guidance
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze multifaceted data, documents, or scenarios to identify key risks and recommend actionable solutions
  • Experience in assessing current processes and proposing effective improvements
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work across disciplines and departments
  • Deep understanding of The Cigna Group's Code of Ethics and compliance policies and procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as needed

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 108,500 - 180,900 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
