Facility Maintenance Tech - $23/hr+ based on experience (Maintenance)

The Facility Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing all duties necessary in the maintenance and care of the industrial establishment in a clean, safe and orderly condition.
Responsible for cleaning and changing filters in all HVAC systems in the facility.
Responsible for air compressor, chiller and pump maintenance activities.
Construction and or repairs within the facility and office areas.
Installation and wiring of lighting fixtures and bulb replacement.
Installation or replacement of doors, doorways, closers.
Responsible for the maintenance of all equipment and tools used to maintain the facility.
Maintain sinks, toilets, towels and soap dispensers (including plumbing that supply these areas.)
Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
Picks up debris from plant grounds and maintains truck dock areas.
Picks up recyclable scrap for salvage and places in appropriate recycling containers.
Removal of snow, clearing of walkways and ramps.
Responsible for reporting food safety issues and/or potential safety hazards to personnel with authority to initiate action.
Responsible for and practicing good GMP rules and regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED is strongly preferred.
At least one year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret verbal and written documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively to employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Problem solving skills involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
Basic electrical knowledge.
