Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift (Marketing)

Overview:

Performs multiple duties exemplifying total quality and service. Requires knowledge of and ability to perform, but not limited to, installing and maintaining industrial air and electrical systems, must have the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and make repairs to numerous types of assembly, packaging and material handling equipment. Have the ability to understand and follow parts and service manuals, and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and drawings. Fabricating, welding and plumbing skills are also required.

• Complete tasks as required by following industry accepted policies and practices for a general maintenance support team.
• Have personal knowledge of and demonstrate the ability to use, operate, and maintain multiple types of powered tools and equipment. Be responsible for, and have the ability to maintain and use a company provided set of general maintenance tools.
• Have the knowledge and ability to operate, troubleshoot, order replacement parts for, perform scheduled preventative maintenance on and make needed repairs to packaging and material processing equipment.
• Utilize appropriate safety equipment, personal protective equipment, and assure all applied safety practices are followed. Be conscious of the entire facility and equipment and demonstrate the ability to not only recognize, but make recommendations for correcting any potential safety hazard.
• Perform various maintenance responsibilities, with the ability to stop and start multiple tasks when necessary to assure priorities get immediate response.
• Be able to work within a team structured environment and perform solo as needed with minimal direct supervision.
• Exercise good judgment and initiative in planning ahead, anticipating problems and completing job assignments.
• Maintain an open and honest relationship with team members and management. Supports the efforts of the team and ultimately the business.
• Manage own time for task completion. Be in work area on time and exemplify good work habits and commitment to all jobs well done.
• Good housekeeping practices and habits are expected. This includes the maintenance department and any job site throughout the facility.
• Requires the interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels. This includes all warehouse and office personnel to include senior management.
• Must possess a support services approach and understand the importance of supporting the needs of all customers, whether external or internal.
• May perform other duties or special projects within the facility as assigned.
• Perform working at heights of 35' (electrical and lighting work) from scissor lift or articulating boom.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma (GED)
• Work experience of two or more years in maintenance, manufacturing or an associated field.  Willing to train on the job. 
• Team oriented approach.
• The Florence Facility has the right to deem a person qualified for a position if that person has had two or more years experience in the position or similar position.
