What will the Cloud Security Architect do?
As a Cloud Security Architect, you will focus on securing our data as we move to the Cloud. Working with our team of Architects, Engineers, and Stakeholders, you will:
Develop strategic roadmaps and standards for the Cloud Security program
Design and help to build technologies for securing cloud-based data and resources
Guide information technology application development teams in building and operating secure cloud-based solutions
Key Responsibilities
Align security architecture and validation tooling with security controls identified within the corporate control framework (e.g., NIST CSF, CIS, etc.) and security capability requirements
Delivering secure architecture designs for Public Cloud including Google Cloud Platform, AWS and Azure
Provide leadership for delivering secure cloud solutions to development teams as an integral part of the cloud migration process
Work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams throughout the Equifax as a subject matter expert in cloud security architecture
Develop and implement secure cloud strategy in conjunction with enterprise architecture for Equifax to meet market growth demands
Act as subject-matter-expert for public cloud end-to-end security architecture, including networking, storage, databases, provisioning, and management
Design security services and capabilities that run on cloud platform potentially integrating with on-prem solutions with forward-thinking approach to meet Equifax's business goals
Drive continuous integration and deployment of secure cloud solutions
Create security roadmaps that are based on industry-standard frameworks and achieve both short-and-long-term complex business requirements
Document secure patterns and solution designs for consuming cloud services for use by the technology and security teams
Serve as security liaison between the security and technology teams
Qualifications
Experienced level architect with 3-5 years of planning, architecting, and engineering enterprise class systems and services
1 - 3 years of experience with architecting, designing, implementing, and supporting greenfield migrations to public cloud and enhancing existing cloud implementations
1 - 3 years of experience with securing public cloud solutions, integrating the security ecosystem with various cloud technologies
Ability to build secure architecture patterns and provide prescriptive guidance on how to secure network, storage, operating systems, virtualization, RDBMS & NoSQL databases, containers etc. in public cloud
Strong knowledge of DevSecOps concepts and automation (Cloudformation/Terraform/Chef)
Ability to facilitate security decisions related to cloud native services as well as the overall eco system of public cloud models such as key management, logging, incident detection, CI/CD tooling, etc.
Ability to speak to risk-based design decisioning and understanding mitigating risk
Knowledgeable of industry standard security frameworks and controls required of Public Cloud services to host sensitive data - Experience in a highly regulated industry is preferred.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information both verbally and in writing to teams with varying levels of technical expertise and security knowledge, as well as executive management
