What You'll Get To Do
As part of our Accounting team, you will ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, implement processes, and enhance internal controls. This role requires strong communication, self-motivation, and leadership to drive change and improvement. This hybrid position requires in-office presence at our Dallas Corporate HQ four days per week.Available Roles & Responsibilities:
Senior Accountant, Operations (4 OPEN)Objectives & Measurement – Key Responsibilities
- Job duties include:
- Assist with general ledger activities
- Assist with month end close journal entries
- Internal control creation / testing
- Ensure accurate transaction processing across facilities
- Calculate reserves and accruals for bad debts, sales rebates, warranties, and credit memos
- Ensure proper revenue recognition and ERP module closing
- Review and reconcile inventory records, investigating discrepancies
- Oversee physical inventory compliance and counts
- Prepare and review Balance Sheet recons timely, accurately, and in compliance with company guidelines.
- Communicate process objectives, steps, and changes to ensure processes are performed in compliance with company close schedules.
- Identify and analyze process errors and anomalies (e.g., coding errors, variances, etc.).
- Involvement with process improvement projects and reporting.
- Assist as needed in transition of work from other facilities which may include documenting processes, work-shadow, and performance of work.
Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications
- Requirements:
- Must have at least 3 years of general ledger accounting experience in corporate accounting functions
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Excel
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and business process improvement
- Effective communicator and change agent in a fast-paced environment
- Results-driven with a proactive mindset
- Additional Required Skills & Abilities
- Able to help process the month end close
- Ability to record, prepare and review journal entries
- Demonstrate broad business and accounting knowledge
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of Accounting concepts around Inventory, Reserves, Accruals, etc.
- Addresses and resolves issues impacting information systems reporting; look for ways to minimize close time and improve close process.
