IAP is tasked to provide Field Level (AVIM/AVUM) support, and limited sustainment level (Depot) repairs, to the 1106th Theater Aviation Sustainment Maintenance Group (TASMG) Fresno, CA and Army Aviation Support Facilities. Effort is in direct support of the maintenance of military helicopters, UH-60A/L/M, HH-60G, HH-60L/M, OH- 58A/C/D, AH-64A/D, CH-47D/F, UH-72, Flexible Engine Diagnostic System (FEDS), and multiple Ground Support Equipment (GSE) subsystems and aviation equipment associated with the 1106th TASMG.
Job Summary:
The Aircraft Painter preps aircraft surfaces for paint by scuff sanding or through the use of abrasive media / chemical removers, existing coatings, corrosion removal, and treatment of substrate, mask, prime, paint aircraft surfaces and/or parts to prevent corrosion, to provide a quality coating in accordance with technical data. Mix and apply paints to include markings and stencils. Use appropriate technical information to ensure proper coating application techniques.
