Manager - Inside Sales (Project Management)



As the Manager, Inside Sales, you will be responsible for the development and performance against KPIs, onboarding and ongoing training of the Inside Sales Account Specialist team members. In addition to training, you will be responsible for strategic business planning and analytics for the department. The role will partner with sales leadership to manage key accounts and provide sales, marketing, and analytics support.

 Job Responsibilities:

Inside Sales

  • Implementation of the sales strategy put forth by Sales Leadership.
  • Onboarding for new hires, acting as a resource and primary point of contact for training.
  • Continuous team training with a focus on selling skills, product knowledge, and competitive landscape.
  • Develop, coach, and mentor the Account Specialist Inside Sales and provide complementary oversight in conjunction with Sales Leadership in terms of sales strategies, KPIs, and territory management.
  • Regularly report on individual & team results and be accountable to both.
  • Train team to identify decision makers and opportunities, quantify potential, and strategically leverage Merz resources to consistently close business and reach sales goals.
  • Work closely with Sales Leadership on defining team strengths, areas of opportunity, one-on-one Account Specialist training, and potential team leadership.
  • Identify and make recommendations for improvement in the areas of sales process, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Analytics

  • Deliver accurate and timely data for effective analysis and business insights.
  • Support Inside Sales Account Specialists through regional and product-specific reporting.
  • Build quarterly targets in conjunction with internal stakeholders.

Key Competencies and Qualifications:

  • BS/BA required.
  • Proved track record of driving sales results.
    • Preference for the healthcare industry involving interaction with physicians, patients, etc.
    • Aesthetics, dermatology, or cosmeceutical sales, as well as Inside Sales experience, is a plus.
  • Strong ability to use analytics and critical thinking skills to achieve individual and team goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong technical and working knowledge of Salesforce.com, Tableau, Microsoft Office Suite, and SAP.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and knowledge of sales processes. 
  • Demonstrated leadership and decision-making abilities.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving results through leading and coaching others.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with other internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Understanding of appropriate key performance indicators; ability to create and track individual and team metrics.
