What We Do:
Enterprise Architecture (EA) consolidates accountability for technology choices and solution design across the Technology Group (TG) and the full portfolio, ensuring consistent leadership in the solution design process. EA:
Elevates the discussion and strategic value of technology within each business area and simplifies access to enterprise level architects
Sets enterprise architecture policies and standards to facilitate uniform, practical, and efficient product development
Actively engages and collaborates with System IT architects and FRS stakeholders
The outcome is that FRBNY's overall architecture blueprint and roadmap are developed and clearly communicated to Business, Technology Leaders and COO, resulting in uniform, practical, and efficient product development in FRBNY as a result of EA policies and guidelines.
Your role as Senior Technical Platforms Owner:
For Enterprise CRM platforms (Salesforce in particular, Dynamics CRM, etc) establish a strategic roadmap, maintain the technology platform landscape, drive acquire/buy/re-use over build decision-making and support business product owners for building Applications and Enterprise Platforms.
This senior technical platform owner (TPO) role focuses on CRM platforms.
The TPO is domain expert in CRM platforms and a qualified architect and technical leader with a deep understanding of business goals, business processes and platform solutions architecture.
The TPO interacts and manages the relationship with several business product owners who use the platform for various use cases.
The TPO is also responsible for backlog prioritization within the platform squads
The TPO works with the engineers, developers and other architects in the squad to ensure platform alignment and strategic vision
TPO also maintains the integration patterns required for the platform.
Develops, drives and contributes to product vision, strategy and roadmaps for CRM technology platforms from inception, operationalize, upgrade to end of life of platform.
Performs fit assessment for incoming use cases with deep understanding of multiple platform capabilities.
Defines best practices and develops proof of concepts for platform usage and guides users, administrators, developers, and other stakeholders.
Manage ongoing relationship with the vendor in collaboration with vendor management and procurement teams, understanding vendor's platform roadmap and map it to FRB strategic needs.
Establish platform SLAs and assure non-functional requirements such as security, resiliency are addressed.
Support architecture solutions based on business and technology considerations that leverage technical platforms.
Create architectural designs to guide and contextualize solution development as a bridge between technical and business audiences during solution development.
Lead evaluation, design, and analysis of enterprise wide solutions.
Translate business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives.
Propose solution recommendations and alternatives to satisfy customer needs.
Collaborate with enterprise architecture, information security, solution, and infrastructure teams to produce optimal designs.
Ensure compliance of solutions to architectural standards.
Act as a subject matter expert on technologies and trends in your domain of expertise.
Act as a consultant on a broad range of technologies, platforms and vendor offerings.
Contribute to the strategy and architecture for managing the enterprise's data.
Work with Security Architecture and Information Security to ensure Integrity of solutions meet Enterprise standards and policies.
Collaborate with other Federal Reserve System technical platform owners and workgroups, and attend important technical platform architecture-related conferences, seminars, and events
You will be an individual technical contributor residing in EA, and reports to the Manager Technical Platforms team (part of the Technology Architecture). You will be assigned to a given technical platform portfolio, be an experienced and independent technical platform Architect professional with demonstrated expertise, business involvement, and ability to work in a matrix operating model and federated environment.
What we are looking for:
Working knowledge in Salesforce, one or more certifications a plus
Knowledge of MS Dynamics CRM is a plus
Knowledge of cloud technologies, certifications are a plus
More than six years of architecture design and implementation experience, with recent experience and certifications in relevant solution and technical platform architecture domains including Amazon cloud, SaaS platforms with specific focus on Salesforce, Appian, and other related technologies.
Strong and diverse background in application and solution development with emphasis on cloud and SaaS solutions
Ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences
Demonstrated ability to cover for other technical platform owners on flexible basis
Experience navigating complex organizations, developing and delivering vision through various communication strategies and presentations to senior-level executives and technical audiences
Experience driving the development and delivery of roadmaps, working with complex mix of vendor, internal and external stakeholders.
Good understanding of agile principles and development methodologies including devsecops practices
Conduct and lead hands-on and present results of proof of concepts to multiple partners within and without EA. Knowledge of AWS Cloud related services, SaaS and COTS platforms, and relevant platform scripting programming skills is desirable.
Ability to adapt to continually changing priorities, aggressive project timeframes, and backup Manager of Technical Platforms.
Experience working with diverse client, colleague, and partner relationships, navigating conflicts to successfully deliver to our customers.
