We are currently seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant to:
Education:
Minimum: High School Degree or equivalent.
Preferred: Completed an accredited Ophthalmic/Optometric program, Certified Medical Assistant program or Licensed Practical Nurse program
Work Experience:
Minimum - One (1) year of clinical health care experience, if has not completed an educational program.
Preferred - One (1) year experience as a Certificated Ophthalmic/Optometric Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse.
Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum - Within 18 months of hire will achieve one of the following certifications: COA, CPOT, CPOA. CPR certification.
Preferred - Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA, CPOT, CPOA). If LPN, Wisconsin Practical Nurse licensure. If MA, Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).

Physical Requirements:
Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Work Schedule:
100% FTE, 40 hours per week. Scheduled shifts are Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
Sign-On Bonus: This position is eligible for up to a $2,000 sign-on bonus (pro-rated on FTE/Hours).
