Sr. Capacity Planner - Voice Location: Remote The Sr. Capacity Planner will be responsible for ensuring sufficient resources are available to support the NICE inContact platform. In this role, you will collaborate with Architects, Engineers and Designers to identify key performance indicators, establish telemetry, and determine and document acceptable capacity thresholds. You will develop capacity plans, calling out risks and mitigation strategies, which will aid in making better technical and financial decisions. You will improve the quality and resiliency of NICE inContact's enterprise services while optimizing the cost of doing business.
Major Functions/Responsibility:
Gather historical performance and business driver data and assess whether system components are performing according to established standards and thresholds.
Develop capacity-forecasting models based on utilization trends and expected business growth inputs.
Collaborate with Product and R&D SME's to determine growth drivers, relevant metrics, correlation behaviors and remediation options to address growth needs.
Manage resource sizing of overall infrastructure including voice platforms, network resources, public cloud and data center environments, common services and core applications.
Gain consensus with a wide range of stakeholders on capacity forecast targets and growth expectations.
Responsible for timely, effective communication regarding the state of capacity to identified stakeholders.
Develop capacity plans by incorporating system, statistical, financial and operational data and present it in a meaningful format to various audiences including upper management and executive leaders.
Identify capacity risks and mitigation for risks in a timely manner.
Required Education, Experience, and Specific Job Related Skills
Education Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field or equivalent work experience.
Experience Requirement:
10+ years of experience with networks, systems (Windows and Linux) and telecom. Desired experience on distributed networks and public cloud platforms.
Strong data analysis skills.
Ability to quickly adapt to changes of priority and focus.
Ability to make sound decisions in an autonomous manner with minimal feedback.
Ability to solve problems and create/design processes.
Excellent verbal and written skills. Ability to present findings to a wide range of audiences.
Working knowledge of public cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
Experience Preferred:
Experience with BMC capacity optimization and monitoring tools.
Experience with AWS tools including CloudWatch & Cost Explorer.
Working knowledge of analytical predictive modeling techniques.
