Lifeguard Coordinator - Cape Ann YMCA (Creative Design)

As a Lifeguard Coordinator you are responsible for the day to day safety and security of the aquatic area and ensures our facility has lifeguard services. Our head lifeguard will lead and support our staff while ensuring a great experience for all.
On a regular day you will...
Explain and enforce safety regulations and rules
Monitor for any safety hazards, and assist in activities
Remain rescue ready at all times and implement emergency procedures as needed
Assess the swimming capabilities of everyone in the aquatics area and ensure individuals are not allowed in areas that place them at undue risk
Training and shadowing shifts as a regular part of every aquatic team members onboarding and orientation.
Ensure safe and compliant pool chemical levels and maintain pool log.
To thrive in this role you have proven leadership experience and exemplary customer service skills to ensure the satisfactory experience of participants and the regular return of members. You have experience assessing the skill level swimmers and are able to provide direction in maintaining the safety of the pool.
