SART Advocate (Finance)
Attend and prepare agenda/minutes for Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) and Sexual Assault Advisory Committee (SAAC) meetings. Serve as representative of WEAVE advocacy efforts, contribute to case study reviews and provide WEAVE updates.
Attend CALCASA meetings and other networking meetings as required.
Maintain an adequate supply of appropriate forms, food and clothing for SART program.
Maintain working relationships with law enforcement, district attorney's office, and area hospital emergency services departments.
Conduct presentations to the community regarding WEAVE services and issues relevant to sexual assault.
Crisis Response- SART & other Hospital Accompaniments
Serve as primary Sexual Assault Response Advocate during business hours
Work closely with the Response Services Manager to ensure adequate crisis response related to sexual assault.
Coordinate victim accompaniment to law enforcement and district attorney interviews as needed.
Ensure all Advocates and SART volunteers are properly trained in accompaniment protocols and procedures.
Provides medical exam accompaniment for incarcerated victims of sexual abuse.
Available to provide follow-up in-person counseling for up to 8 sessions to incarcerated survivors of sexual abuse, as assigned.
Available to provide follow-up case management services to SART clients, as needed.
SART Conference and Trainings
Effectively collaborate with community partners and internal departments in coordinating WEAVE's annual SART Conference.
Work closely with the SART Planning Committee to ensure timely coordination of all aspects of the annual event.
Attend all SART Planning Committee meetings.
Provide trainings to SART partner agencies and other community partners.
Other Responsibilities
Act as liaison between WEAVE and partner agencies and other community partners.
Attend scheduled staff meetings, in-service trainings, and other meetings as required.
Maintain Peer Counselor certification.
Maintain accurate timesheets, client records/tracking, and other work-related documents.
Maintain strong communication with other agency programs.
Assist with answering the Support and Information Line.
Responsible for consultation rotation.
Under the direction of Response Services Manager and the Chief Program Officer, ensures grant outcomes are met and financial budgets are monitored and reported.
Ensures completion of grant reports and accurate data collection.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree preferred and three years of SART experience preferred
Experience providing crisis intervention services in a medical, mental health or victim services agency required.
Experience with sexual assault and domestic violence service delivery preferred.
Knowledge of Sacramento County's SART response.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent organizational and planning skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to maintain high level of confidentiality with sensitivity to client needs.
Ability to work with paid and volunteer staff.
Successful completion of WEAVE's certification training (post-hiring requirement).
Provide copy of valid California driver license, have reliable transportation, and submit
current proof of auto insurance
