Production Planner and Scheduler (Finance)

Job Description

  

Material Planner: Plans, schedules, and monitors the movement of materials through the production cycle. Determines and coordinates material requirements for Engineering, Production and Service schedules. Ensures the efficient movement of materials, scheduling of internal builds and expediting of procured materials.  Manages inventories and maintains accurate records for all activities. Coordinates shipments of materials for both domestic and international customers.

Direct hire dayshift role, M-F. Competitive benefits package w/ medical/dental and paid time off.  

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review of schedules to determine possible shortages, provide recommendations and options to overcome obstacles
  •   Support plant lean initiatives through involvement in activities/functions outside of materials planning
  •   Plan the scheduled for service and manufacturing taking into consideration available capacity, raw materials, customer requirements and
  •   Coordinate and lead regular meetings to ensure execution of against plan
  •   Collaborate with Engineering, Program Management, Supply Chain, Quality and Production to build, communicate and maintain execution plans that meet internal milestones and customer on time delivery dates
  •   Work with the service team to coordinate the activities of the service department
  • Place orders for parts as required to complete service orders, and work to expedite the delivery dates as needed
  • Develop and maintain forecast models for repair and spare parts to support both internal and external service centers. 

Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in applicable field or 3+ years of experience as production or service planner in a Hi-Tech manufacturing environment is preferred.   
  • APICS Certification is a plus.
  • Strong computer Skills including MS office (Specifically EXCEL) with excellent research and writing skills.
  • Experience in ERP/MRP software including BOMS, Routers and Production orders is required.   
  • SAP experience is a plus.
  • Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
