JOB SUMMARY:
As Distribution Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and assisting with processing of rental return inventory, pulling, packing and shipping of orders, performing inventory counts, and maintaining inventory control. This position is responsible for balancing the daily volume of all customer orders with the number of pickers, packers and return processors, increasing and decreasing the head count as the volume of orders rise and fall according to ship dates. This position ensures that all products are picked in time to meet carrier ship times and deadlines.
Essential POSITION Functions:
· Supervise and insure all levels of the rental distribution stages are operated efficiently
· Direct, delegate and assigned tasks to subordinates; train and motivate employees
· Communicate status of operation to management including any safety and/or process problems
· Assure matrix is followed, cases are labeled and sized correctly.
· Verify picking schedule is followed and on schedule; items and quantities picked are accurate
· Maintain good morale, working environment and work ethnic
· Assure company rules and regulations are followed
· Perform other duties as assigned including but not limited to picking, inventory, cleaning and maintaining garments.
· Cross train in all areas of the Cap and Gown department.
· Observe current process and be able to improve areas and processes to make them more efficient.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
· 2+ years of leadership experience
· Previous packing and shipping experience a plus
· Computer skills including Microsoft outlook, excel and word
· Knowledge of AS400 system or ability to learn the operating system
· Focus on work and minimize interruptions.
· Prioritize, work well under time pressure, and focus on work in midst of noise.
· Able to understand and follow detailed oral or written work instructions
· Good communication skills
· Able to work with employees of all levels and maintain an open line of communication at all times
· Able to multi-task
· Able to stand and walk throughout the scheduled work shift
· Able to carry and move up to 50 lbs. throughout the work day
· Ability to drive a stand up forklift
Education/Experience:
· High School Diploma or GED
Other:
Must be able to pass a criminal background
