A Day in the Life
- Define, lead and execute medium sized engineering projects around process validation, design change verification or process improvements
- Continuously improve safety, quality, delivery and cost on assigned product lines or areas of responsibility
-Provide a high level of urgency for thorough resolution of issues in manufacturing & service
- Gathers and analyzes manufacturing metrics and works closely with the Quality and Manufacturing organizations to define appropriate process changes
- Works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality to coordinate product changes
- Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
- Provides guidance regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
- Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
- May adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
- May design manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.
- May design arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors degree required
- 0+ years of experience required
Nice to Have
- Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Packaging, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
- Action oriented and Self-starter, proactive, forward-thinking, able to see the big picture, technically proficient, skilled in conflict management, customer focus, making timely and quality decisions, problem solver who drives for results & continuously improves
- At ease speaking in front of people, both working level and management.
- Provides technical written reports and engineering documentation as well as cost and time estimates for engineering and project schedules.
-Working knowledge of Manufacturing flow, project management techniques, structured root cause analysis techniques, data analysis, and process validation & product verification
-Knowledge of packaging process. Tray and pouch sealing and labeling is preferred (Atlas and Multivac sealers with Bellmark and Intermec printers)
