Composite Materials is a top-tier supplier to the aerospace engineered materials market known for its expertise in design materials and process engineering. We deliver optimal material
solutions to address our customer's most challenging demand for new high-performance materials that reduce weight, improve aerodynamics, and ultimately lower the total part costs for customers. The business supplies composites technologies to civil and military aircraft manufacturers which comprises the
majority of sales, with the balance of sales into various industrial markets.

Quality Engineers (QE) are responsible for ensuring products / parameters are in control within established process and facilitates improvement within such process. Provide customers with technical support on testing issues and continuous improvements of quality systems.
The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Day To Day Operations
oWorks with whole work cell to monitor, reinforce and communicate all customer issues, quality escapes and other systemic quality issues. Leads Quality Area Improvement team for work cell.
oDocuments and tracks non-conformances for incoming materials, internal departments, and customers.
oAnalyzes quality issues and develop corrective actions; including customer notifications, rework, waste and other cost of quality contributors.
oOwner of quality documentations pertaining to the work cell such as bond preps, specifications, inspection documents, testing requirements, sampling plans, LIMs configuration and methods.
oMonitors product quality performance through SPC and CPK analysis of critical raw material and product parameters.
oRepresents company to customers during communications / visits with responsibility to ensure/display preventive systems in place for the customer's product.
oWorks with vendors on product quality issues.
Training
oCoaches/Instructs employees in quality assurance principles and methodology. Ensure operators are adequately trained to undertake the quality standards in accordance with customer and or quality system requirements.
oTeach workout lite process through Area Improvement Team activities.
Performance
oAccountable for work cell Internal Audits to ensure compliance to quality standards and drive continuous improvements.
oSupport plant Quality team in preparation for and conduct of external audits.
oMaintains quality process stability to ensure favorable customer ratings, confidence and future sales.
Improvement
oLead and facilitate Quality Area Improvement Team in continuous improvement activities through use of lean and various engagement tools, including kaizen, workout, 6S and applicable problem solving methodology tools.
Ensure all work is to be performed in accordance with the Responsible Care EMS - Environmental Management System (ISO 14001)
1.Intervene and take appropriate actions on any non-conformance, possible non-conformance, or concerns affecting 1) compliance with any known legal, regulatory or company requirement, 2) Safety, Health, Environment & Security (HSE&S) policies, procedures, or other management system requirements, and/or 3) expectations or needs of other interested parties, and communicate it using the appropriate company process.
2.Ensure the HSE&S, Responsible Care management Systems requirements are integrated into their organization's business structure and processes and achieve intended outcomes.
3.Promote an observable culture of process safety, product safety/stewardship and customer service within their organizational control.
4.When requested, participate in the development, communication, and implementation of HSE&S and Responsible Care programs.
5.Communicate and follow up as required on any HSE&S concerns, incidents, near misses, or opportunities for improvement using the appropriate company process.
6.When requested, lead, participate and/or provide resources for Employee Safety Committee (ASC), Safety Meetings, Incident/Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations, Management of Change (MOC), Process Safety Startup Review (PSSR), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), and other related HSE&S, process safety, and customer service activities.
Must follow all MSOP & Plant Safety Rules. Use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). PPE required in this area are KEVLAR GLOVES, LATEX GLOVES, FULL FACE RESPIRATOR, HALF FACE RESPIRATOR, DUST MASKS, & EAR PLUGS. TYVEK Suits are also available for PROTECTION.

•Bachelors of Science, Technical background
•Previous experience in quality/process engineering function in manufacturing environment
•Knowledge of Continuous improvement, including kaizen and change management.
•Demonstrated experience in problem solving and root cause analysis.
•1 – 5 years' experience
