Your Role and Responsibilities
- Support business line and project engineering with accurate communication and representation of HMC's capabilities. Will have direct customer interaction.
- Ensure that proper technology processes are developed, implemented, maintained and documented to successfully introduce new products into manufacturing.
- Involved in prototyping, process development, confirmation runs, and validation.
- Assume responsibility for completeness and accuracy of developed processes (i.e., lead, manage, communicate, complete documentation, train) including ownership of process capability, process quality, and process costs.
- Assist in new equipment identification, procurement, installation qualification, document creation, and training.
- Identify new technologies in accordance with site and customer priorities to improve efficiency, quality, reduce costs, and meet market technology needs.
What is required for this role
- Education and/or Experience: BS (5+ years of experience) in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering preferred; Medical device experience highly desired
- Communication Skills: Must be able to create legible, accurate, and detailed documents that clearly communicate product and manufacturing expectations.
- Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of manufacturing equipment and computer programming.
- Critical Thinking/Analytical Skills: Ability to effectively improve processes with minimal direction and information. Understand human and cultural differences and provide resolution strategies without becoming emotionally involved. Demonstrate high level of initiative and creativity.
