Appraisal and Environmental Review Manager (Finance)

The Appraisal and Environmental Review Manager will effectively lead the A&E Review team ensuring high-quality and compliant reviews are conducted on a consistent basis and properly documented within our defined SLAs for each individual assignment. In this position you will assist senior management with annual updates to credit policies, department procedures, compiling monthly reporting on department activity, overseeing regular internal training on the departments niche services, and serving as a resource for conducting due diligence on our CRE loans.  

What You'll Do

  • Oversee the quality and compliance of our third-party due diligence report reviews on individual files that we facilitate while maintaining department SLAs and mentoring staff on the overall review process

  • Communicate with internal staff, internal lenders, and third-party vendors to effectively complete accurate and timely due diligence under the proper scope of work

  • Oversight of all department workflow procedures, implementing credit policy requirements into the day-to-day workflow, and systems oversight to ensure the technical platforms are always maintained

  • Conduct routine staff meetings to keep staff informed of corporate and department updates and initiative

  • Participate and successfully complete compliance testing and continuing education opportunities to stay current with industry related updates

  • Assist in other initiatives such as the department quarterly newsletter and market reports, internal Bank trainings on WRES related services, and updating internal documentation

  • Produce monthly reporting on department related activity for senior management to be distributed amongst the Banks CRE personnel

  • Track department expenses and maintain corporate approved budgetary costs within the department

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

  • Minimum 5 years' experience appraising and/or reviewing 3rd party appraisal reports

  • Prior experience with ASTM and environmental due diligence reporting

  • Proven leadership and experience mentoring less experienced staff

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Knowledge of CRE credit structures and how to comply with due diligence and regulatory requirements

  • Strong analytical skills and quantitative abilities

  • Technical knowledge and ability to adapt to different applications and systems

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $117,000 - $160,000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.
