Prepare food and prep items
Handle, store and rotate all products properly
Receive phone calls from customers and take orders
Accept payment, process credit card charges or make change accurately
Memorize, record, and comprehend menu items and abbreviations
Controls costs through inventory control
Follow standard recipes
Understand and comply consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and rules, policies and procedures
Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
Maintain a clean and sanitary work and service area including tables, shelves, walls, oven, and refrigeration equipment
Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, appliances, and facilities
Other tasks assigned by management
Cooks are responsible for reporting tips for taxes on their own
Qualifications
No previous restaurant experience required
Strong attention to detail
Possess suitable communications skills to create a positive interaction experience with our customers
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work well in teams
Be at least 16 years or older (15 years if 16th birthday is within 1-2 months)
Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours)
Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
