Banquet Server- The Delegate (Project Management)
SUPERVISES THROUGH SUBORDINATES:
SUMMARY: Prepares and serves food at scheduled functions under the supervision of the catering captain. May drive a catering delivery truck. Delivers food and beverage to catered functions. Sets up functions, serves at functions, breaks down the set-up, leaves the area neat and clean, returns tables to their proper position, returns left over food and equipment in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assembles and delivers all food and supplies for catered functions to the scheduled locations.
Arranges tables and decorations.
May prepare hor d'oeuvres, fancy and plain sandwiches, deli plates/platters, and salads.
Set buffet tables with food, beverage and service items according to preestablished standards.
May serve food and beverages to guests.
Cleans and packs dishes and utensils for removal to CFOF.
Returns unserved foods and beverages, serving equipment and utensils to the CFOF.
Distributes and collects customer comment cards for catered functions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may occassionally lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include those required to drive a motor vehicle such as close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Prefer prior experience in food service or wait staff work.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid drivers license.
Must possess a valid Food Handler's Permit.
