Health Information Specialist – 8501 Excelsior (Healthcare)

We are seeking a Health Information Specialist to:
Education:
Minimum – General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
Preferred – High School Diploma.
Work Experience:
Minimum – One (1) year of Health Care, Insurance, or Administrative Support related experience required. Education in Health Information Management, Health Care Sciences, or other four (4) year degree may be substituted for years of experience.
Preferred – One (1) year experience in a clinical or Health Information Management Department of a large health care facility.
Licenses and Certifications:
Preferred – RHIT or RHIA preferred.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Physical Requirements:
Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Work Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours per week. Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
