Financial Systems Analyst - Information Technology (Finance)
The Financial Systems Analyst is responsible for performing financial and structure data analysis for financial institution reported data, which includes supporting the development of high-level analytical techniques that may include the construction/testing of statistical models. The analyst is responsible for implementing new data collections and changes to existing data collections, which includes developing quality assurance checks and methodologies, drafting business operational procedures, providing written business requirements for automation tools and testing the business requirements, and recommending improvements/enhancements to the data collection and/or data collection processes.
The Financial Systems Analyst will also work with different data end users within the Board of Governors to ensure the reported data are fit for their intended purposes. These purposes can vary, but some examples include publishing statistical releases, creating the monetary aggregates, stress testing institutions, analyzing risky derivative activities, and assessing systemic banking issues/activity. The ability to make sound decisions and exhibit good judgment even under high pressure or difficult situations is required. Innovative thinking and the ability to transform abstract problems into actionable plans are also required. Demonstrated experience in data management and/or project management is strongly preferred .
