Primary Purpose
The Nursing Director coordinates and directs the patient care and management activities in the Patient Care Services Division within the guidelines of the Joint Commission and State regulations. The Director is responsible for achieving and maintaining competent services with goals consistent with those of UC Health and Patient Care Services. He or she is accountable for the clinical practice of nursing. In providing leadership to Patient Care Services, he or she also ensures the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, programs, and services consistent with the institution's mission, goals, and objectives Knowledge and Skills:
Education: Master degree in nursing, business administration or healthcare administration, minimum required.
License and Certification: Licensed to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Ohio. BLS. ACLS, if applicable. Certification in specialty area strongly preferred.
Years of Experience: Three to five years equivalent experience, minimum required
Required Skills and Knowledge: Demonstrated progressive responsibilities in management. Demonstrated evidence of successful management. Demonstrated experience in budgeting for operations and Personnel management. De monstrated evidence of continuing growth and leadership.
