Lumberyard Specialist (Personal Services)
Join our dynamic cabinet and millwork company as we expand our team! Auburn Ridge is currently seeking a Lumberyard Specialist to play a crucial role in receiving and bundling lumber for delivery. As a key contributor to our innovative solutions for builders, you'll be at the forefront of supplying top-quality building products.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Receiving and Inspection:
Receive lumber shipments and perform thorough inspections for quality assurance.
Identify and report any discrepancies or damages in received lumber.
Bundling and Preparation:
Organize and bundle lumber according to specified orders and delivery requirements.
Ensure accurate counts and measurements of bundled lumber.
Material Handling:
Utilize forklifts and other appropriate equipment to safely transport and store lumber.
Maintain a well-organized and efficient lumberyard layout.
Quality Control:
Implement quality control measures to ensure the delivered lumber meets the company's standards.
Collaborate with other team members to address any quality issues promptly.
Maintain a Safe and Clean Environment:
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during all lumberyard activities.
Keep the work area clean and organized for optimal efficiency.
The successful candidate will possess:
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Knowledge of lumber types, grades, and industry standards.
Proficiency in operating forklifts and other lumberyard equipment.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and preferably a year of previous experience in a lumberyard or similar setting.
