IT Technician (Creative Design)

SUMMARY:

Reporting to a Lead IT Technician, the IT Technician responds to and resolves all first level technical help desk requests from associates. Provides support to associates with the installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of computer workstations, printer hardware, software and other related devices. Maintains computer hardware and software inventory.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

• Three to five years of experience supporting LAN/WAN, AD, Windows OS environment with at least 25+ nodes.
• Experience and knowledge of Active Directory, Windows server OS, Microsoft Application, Exchange 2003, Windows 2003 server OS, IP Protocol & Subnets, LAN\WAN infrastructure design /implementation/ maintenance, telephony architectures, VOIP architecture, design and protocols, and MS Applications.
• Experience with Citrix (Meta frame 3.0 – Presentation Server), IIS, Web design, Cisco PIX 515 configurations, Database Architectures (SQL & Oracle), and Visio highly preferred
• Experience supporting secondary education environment preferred but not necessary.

EDUCATION:

High school graduate or equivalent required.

Bachelor degree in computer science, information systems, electronics engineering, voice/data communications or a related field preferred.
