General Contractor Representative-Boston, MA (Finance)
This regional position is a key specification driver establishing, maintaining and growing our architectural specification share for PPG Paints through our commercial paint products and color tools. This position is a system approach to non-traditional selling with strong relationship building skills requiring on-site recommendations, guidance and project meetings with owners, architects, interior designers, product specifiers, general contractors and key corporate accounts.
A day in the life:
Build and develop relationships with General Contractors/Construction Managers to determine if there is a relationship with PPG. Once relationship is determined, further presentations will be required to maintain the project specification as Basis of Design, As/Or Equal or simply listed as an approved manufacturer. This role will address both product systems on the technical side and the color schedules on the design side, and must possess the higher-level understanding of complexity and competency of both. Role is expected to hold technical paint system specification and color schemes prepared by interior designers.
