What you will do:
Responsibilities for the BSOC Security Infrastructure Support Specialist include monitoring and programming of security infrastructure systems and supporting peripheral systems. This position requires the operation of all technical applications independently and in a team environment.
How you will do it:
? Monitor and program all security infrastructure system related hardware and software independently.
? Troubleshoot and diagnose security infrastructure systems and work with field technicians to achieve best system performance.
? Demonstrated ability to perform system set up in the field (connection and component level).
? Resolve customer service issues independently and as part of a team.
? Interact with and support external and internal customers via telephone, email and in person independently and promote a positive customer service atmosphere.
? Perform or assist in new hire training and cross training.
? Backup BSOC work as necessary in order to maintain central station skill sets.
? Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
? Self- motivated problem solver with demonstrated technical and analytical skill-set.
? Good organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
? Ability to work in a team environment.
? High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred.
? Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
? 6-month experience in a Level 2 Central Station Operator position or equivalent experience. Tyco may petition 5/3 for a waiver for a team member to advance prior to meeting this requirement.
? Successful completion of Level 3 central station training within 180 days of job assignment.
? Successful completion of relevant manufacturer/vendor training and on the job training.
? Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
? General office environment in a Central Station setting.
? Minimal domestic and international travel will be required.
THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE WORKING IN A SHIFT ENVIRONMENT, SATURDAY AND/OR SUNDAY AND HOLIDAYS.
