What will you be doing and how will you make a difference at American Senior Communities?

  • Directly impacting the quality of life for our residents by preparing palatable, attractive, nutritionally adequate meals.  
  • Working alongside other culinary team members preparing and serving meals, cleaning, and storing supplies and equipment in accordance with departmental procedures and in compliance with state and federal regulations.   
  • Prepares and maintains supply of food substitutes to accommodate resident choices, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences. 
  • Communicates with Culinary Services Manager throughout shift as needed to ensure we are meeting needs of the residents. 

Requirements

  • Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values to our residents, family members, customers and staff.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Kitchen cooking experience in full-service restaurants or healthcare, preferred.
  • Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling is preferred.
