Trade Compliance Analyst (Finance)

Purpose:
This role is an entry level position that reports to the Customs Compliance Manager. The Analyst will be responsible for supporting import and export operations, with a concentration on export compliance as we create an Export Compliance Program. Additionally, this position will handle other tasks assigned by the Customs Compliance Manager in support of the Import/Export/FTZ operations.
Essential Duties:
Use reasonable care to ensure that MTD is compliant with applicable import/export laws and regulations
Adhere to MTD standards and follow SOP's
Measure and report KPI's on a monthly basis as applicable
Participate in continuing education and assist in training internal assets
Assist with CBP valuation, classification and reporting
Cross-train/back-up to department team members
Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office
Through understanding of international transportation, domestic transportation and Customs compliance
Experience/Educational Requirements:
1-3 years Experience in a similar role
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in related field
Customs Brokers License-preferred or willingness to pursue with MTD support
Excellent working knowledge of import/export transportation functions and how they coincide compliance
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Integration Point (FTZ), NetCHB (ABI), and INFOR (ERP) preferred
Detail oriented and strong analytical background
Work Environment:
Office environment with a business casual dress code
Travel:
Minimal travel
