Charleston office of our client seeks closing/escrow attorney with experience. The candidate advises clients in real estate transactions involving the purchase, sale or refinance of a home or commercial real estate property. Reports to the State Managing Attorney. Represents firm at real estate closings. Prepares and examines contracts involving leases, licenses, purchases, sales, insurance. Provides legal advice to clients, prepares resolutions and forms. Responsible for foreseeing and protecting the clients and the company against legal risks. Willingly performs other duties as assigned or requested. Should be licensed and hold a Bar card in good standing within the state, experience in the buying and selling of real estate, deed transfers, title issues, boundary dispute, easement or zoning issues, and other legal documents regarding the determination of land ownership. Must hold or be able to obtain a notary public certification prior to being employed.Additional Skills: Must have a Juris Doctorate degree.
