Education Intern (Finance)
Key Activities:
• Writes, proofs and edits material for resources and publications
• Assists in carrying out districtwide strategic areas of focus related to education
• Completes projects and prepares recommendations to improve and/or develop resources for teachers and students
• Analyzes and revises existing educational content
• Works collaboratively with Education staff to prepare for and facilitate presentations and outreach events
• Supports efforts to develop and create marketing and communication materials
• Tabulates evaluations and analyzes feedback connected to resources and events
• Assists in educational research, information gathering and analysis
• Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications:
• Experience with and being able to write curricula for the K-12 classroom
• Knowledge of resources and pedagogy for elementary, middle and/or high school audiences
• Availability for full-or-part-time position weekdays, with ability to work remotely as needed
• Willingness to learn about the Federal Reserve System, the principles of economics and personal finance concepts
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for presenting resources to teachers and students, and communicating progress of projects effectively
• Familiarity with educational standards preferred
• Knowledge of online and digital tools used within educational environments preferred
• Can work independently and in a team, is highly organized, and detail-oriented
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and ability to effectively conduct internet research
• Demonstrates solid analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Exhibits leadership and initiative with assigned projects and responsibilities
• Energetic, hard-working and enthusiastic team player
• Ability to think creatively and develop innovative curricula, presentations and marketing materials
• Classroom experience as a K-12 educator or undergraduate student within two years of graduation pursuing a degree in education and seeking endorsements/certification in social studies, business, economics, personal finance, family and consumer sciences and/or other related disciplines
