Essential Functions
Must beproficient in all aspects of the blending operation.Understand types of compounds.Startmachines and set controls to regulate blending ingredients to meet specifications.Ensurethat blended material is produced within specifications by carrying out periodic physical and visual inspections.Performroutine monitoring of the blending process.Checks allprocess documentation logs and production quantity records.Performfinal blend material acceptance.Performprocess adjustments to maintain production rate and product quality.Know silo selections and how to change from one compound toanother.Maintainmaterial levels in storage silos.Ensuresthat all material containers and trucks are empty before leaving thefacility.Know the locations of the hand loaded additive hoppers and whatmaterials go in the hoppers.Recognize a hot batch condition and the procedures to follow whenit occurs.Able to operate the blending system with minimal directsupervision.Notifysupervisors and other personnel of problems, and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.Maintainhousekeeping practices equivalent to plant standards.Comply with all company safety, standards, rules and policies.Reliable attendance.Other tasks as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
1. Must be able to work 12-hour shifts.
2. Must be able to stand and walk on concrete floors.
3. Must be able to lift, push and pull weights to 60 pounds.
4. Must be about to push/pull distances of 30 feet.
5. Must be able to climb silos approximately 60 feet high.
Experience and Education Requirements:
1.High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to other employees of the organization. Ability to read, comprehend and speak basic English.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply technical skill along with common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.
