Account Manager (CRL) (Administrative)

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and well-spoken Account Manager to join our sales team who has a desire to grow!  The Account Manager will be responsible for developing new leads, communicating with customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring a smooth sales process.  You need to be able to close sales and meet targets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Communicating with customers, making outbound calls to potential customers, and following up on leads.
  • Understanding customers' needs and identifying sales opportunities.
  • Answering potential customers' questions and sending additional information by email.
  • Keeping up with product information updates.
  • Creating and maintaining a database of current and potential customers.
  • Explaining features of products and services.
  • Staying informed about competing products and services.
  • Upselling products and services.
  • Researching and qualifying new leads.
  • Closing sales and achieving sales targets.

Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements

  • A College Degree in Business or a related field is required
  • 3-5+ years of sales experience, preferably in the distribution or manufacturing industry
  • Strong communication skills, both strong written and verbal skills.
  • Intermediate mathematical skills, calculating percentages, sales prices, and discounts.
  • Teamwork skills, ability to interact and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Skills in persuasion and influencing, building relationships, developing trust, and how to persuade.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with CRM required
  • SAP experience preferred
